Thread regarding Sears layoffs

what phase is our store?

where is that info? vendor portal doesn't seem to refer to phase of store. I just know I'm tired everyday and know it is unhealthy to live life in the mode we do now. And holiday shopping hasn't got going yet. Today was another huge truck and panic to get it done no matter what. I think that SHC is not worth me having a heart attack over. I don't make much and have been at a Kmart for over ten years. I will not give anymore of my anything for this job. No more of my trying hard or feeling a want to do a good job. Just get it done and over with. I feel so removed from my job as I use to know it. everything must die and it has for me kmart. "not with a bang but a whimper" Will still watch for any posts that make me laugh, though. "This Is Paul Harvey " : "In times like these it helps to recall there have always been times like these."

Now you know the (rest of the story.) from 1960 something broadcast of Paul Harvey........

I am fiercely loyal to those willing to put their money where my mouth is.

Dependency arguments often come from elites - either aid agencies or governments - and say something about attitudes to poor people.

If there is a 50-50 chance that something can go wrong, then 9 times out of ten it will.

I've never seen a monument erected to a pessimist.

Like what you do, if you don't like it, do something else.

that's all I had to say and the rest of the story, too. goodnight all.

I would love to hear that an entire store's staff all walked out at the same time. Break a key off in the locks when you do, and watch corporate crap its pants.

For what it is worth, the majority of people working at Kmart feel the same way you do. At our store, it is day by day whether many of us just walk out and never come back. The people at the Kmarts that are doing "well" will soon come to understand this as the company continues to deteriorate. Even many of the store managers and DMs are planning their exit. The fact that so most of these stores are losing money, the employees are working in horrible conditions, and they don't seem to care anything about their customers is telling. And yet, they continue to operate these stores with nothing improving. they will not close them, and if they are planning, they are playing some game, as there is no reason to keep prolonging it. There is no one to help them and when they finally get to the checkout, the process is extremely slow. The company is more interested in shop your way getting them to sign up for credit cards than making it a nice experience. A word of advice to everyone here - NOW is the time when most retailers began hiring for the holiday season. If you can find a job, take it. If you are a good worker, they will likely let you stay on after New Year's and not let you go as seasonal help.
