Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Why are store employees cut by Lowe's?

When we have so many managers that contribute very little to Lowe's and in my opinion they need to be let go. So much waste, so much dead wood and why do they pay them heavy bonuses and let them spend company money - we all know that store employees make money, we are customer facing and we get the shaft? Give me a break - think about this

@jij - agreed 100% - dept. managers are the pilar of the company - they crank out more value than anyone - all store employees are really good

I was fired because a customer was about to refund an install and never did and on the day I came back from vacation I was fired the install was the day the install took place

Cut at the district and above managers. The dept. managers are the back bone of the company, not the a-- sitters.

I agree employees do the work. They greet customers. Listen to, assist, interact on a hourly basis with customers daily.

Agree with you 100% - there are directors who do not have direct reports - so, who are they directing?
