Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Why do we still bother

Its a sinking ship but we still won't leave . a few of us have been with the company for many years and many come and go . why is it the ones who break their back for this company get treated like booboo . and others well special privileges. If they really knew what was going on smh I think customers would dip out quick if they knew the BS we have to put up with . some are really rude and we still smile and try to assist when the mangers won't come because f us and them they dont have to do crap but holler at us for not making metrics and they have to be on conference calls so we are a incoveince . sigh.

Found out today that now the 6 full timers get a locker the part timers can use an assigned locker that they also have to share with 1 other associate. Everyone is being paired up.

Probably took away lockers because they are collateral for a loan or they are going to rent them out as storage space to raise cash

Yes that is true I hear employees being talked to so mean talked about as well .. Its sad that a manager is scared to say anything to anyone in fear that people may quit and the only ones that he does is the ones who care about the customers. We work because we have to we stay because we care but that isn't going to keep the head n in charge from running the company to the ground . I use to hear stories of how people could retire from here and students work part time and enjoyed now its a head ache for people who dont know if they will work the next week and for students its worse than schoolwork . ill probably stay till the last note is played cause that's what type of person I am .commitment like a failed relationship with this company . alot of things going on but for the people who do come to the store still we are still thankful for you holding us down for our jobs . sorry for having to push syw and credit on you

Exactly what you said. If you are friends with the right person you dont have to do a thing. When you try to improve things try to help you get treated like a dog or worse. Today it was decided that only full time workers can keep a locker everyone else can use it for the day and thats it if not they are in trouble. Mind you we have 4-6 full time people and have over 100 lockers.

We have 1 super hard working woman that does our layouts. She has been with the company since the late 90s. She does so much. She is supposed to have help but the 1 person that is supposed to does nothing. He spends his time pretending he is LP. No one tells him anything at all. 1 of his friends is great friends with HR so he has it made. Every day it gets worse.
