agree with -srp. The topic is fine but the comments always veer off into Indian-bashing or other hate. H1B abuses are not being fueled by Indians or the Chinese or whatever other ethnic groups you might want to make the scapegoats, they are being fueled by companies who are looking for the cheapest, good-enough workforce. To me, more than ethnic origin, it boils down to who's the cheapest and that is not going to be a seasoned, 35+ years engineer from the U.S. whether male, female, black, brown or purple.
Reason is simple, this site is pro H1Bs and the admins are likely H1Bs themselves.
Too bad that a few mindless guys posting racist comments causing good discussions to be nuked.
My two cents on this one: the post itself is fine, an H1B discussion is fine, but every thread we had on the topic flares right up and turns into a heated back and forth on race and nationality - at that point many posts will cross the line and the admins, instead of cherry picking what to keep or what to nuke, just shut down the whole discussion thread...
