Olathe, KS (aerospace) let 7 go yesterday - 2 engineer managers included. 7 volunteers have their exit interviews today (Wednesday). Had originally been told 20-25 would be let go so maybe there will be more today. Who knows? I am glad I was able to volunteer and get selected. Love the people and really do not have anything bad to say about Honeywell - Olathe. Communication through this RIF process was poor but that's it.

Your time with the company doesn't seem to matter. Your effectiveness in your job doesn't seem to matter. The selection is said to have been the end to some large debate. I have more of a feeling it is just whoever didn't spin up the BS in their review documentation. I will never forget being escorted out like I had done something wrong. Why was I made to feel ashamed of myself? Honeywell f---ed up big time, but we get to pay for it.

OMG, to "-jmp", that is such a short time there and they let you go... this causes me to fear as I am also one of the newer ones (not even two months yet); I made it this time, but who's to say they will even let me stay the next time there is a lay off?

Sadly, from all I see and hear, this company's slowly going to rot; thankfully it's easier for a newbie like myself to find something else after this craziness.

Just got laid off. Phoenix Sky Harbor. Had a meeting set up with my boss for this morning (Tuesday, September 13, 2016), just to be walked over to the HR office. Severance pay wasn't too good, but was paid for un-used vacation time. Total career time at Honeywell; 14 months.
