Thread regarding Sears layoffs

They just gave me my walking papers and I'm a home services tech that was hired just a month ago.

Looks like Sears is cutting positions in all spectrums. Whats stupid is the hours and help needed is there for the Refrigeration Technician work load. They laid off three techs in my Tucson area and guys were already slammed with overtime. So now the remaining techs will be working 10-12 hour shifts on average. All because of this so called "metrics system" they go by. It will cost Sears more money to pay overtime to the remaining 23 techs than it would to just keep us three guys that got cut. They got rid of two low performers and myself a new hire.

I was one of the best techs in the area no recalls no mistakes there where others who came to work hung over every day scrwing up left and right. I had the highest sales of anyone bin my area and I got laied off. I feel bad for all the ma Pa and other things i sold cause sears is going to rip all those people off if they close down. What a joke waste of 3 years of my life.....
