The rumor mill says the next round is in November 2016 - aka Q2, and will be based on meeting forecast as of week 5 (though possibly plan?). There is already a 6 week freeze on open reqs. Though to be balanced and fair - there are hundreds of reqs pending approval where the hiring manager has listed justification along the lines of "backfilling xyz who was recently laid off" (like a total dumb--s, who may be justifying their own redundancy due to stupidity).

Will be a 6 and 12 month process. Slow painful grinding down for the most part. Tough on morale though, people are getting well connected and smarter!

I heard from a reliable source that Cisco may offer an early retirement package at the beginning of calendar year 2017. Can anyone confirm?

I believe these are part of usual stealth layoffs where they LO a few folks like 50-60 and others in sisko dont even come to know of that.
