Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

An example of smoke and mirrors and why BK and BOD get F and should be fired!

This post got me thinking

https://www.thelayoff.com/t/JnoGy2Q

CEO should be fixing TMG to get back on the Moore's Law cadence. Figure out and restructure the company to be faster and more lean to compete with the Far East design houses and Foundrys. Let's be honest ACT was nothing but a cut and burn of HC to make numbers look better to outsiders. Nothing really changed structurally at Intel except fewer older people. Moore's law continues to slip later and later and TSMC is eating Intel's future!

Instead you got a stupid low IQ white from San Jose State trying to push diversity among many other diversions as he is incapable of comprehending nor articulating what is broken and what needs fixing . As a thought this is like Nick Saban having a losing season and saying as one of his good will to get back to win includes getting qualified diverse athletic URM ( Asian, white, Indian and transgender) of the football world to win. Sorry brain smarts no more than athletics can't be taught. As good humans we'd like to believe so. There are exceptions that we like to point to Jeremy Lin or Obama, but for large companies playing statistics you can't cheat it too. Hiring below average available talent means you will certainly become below average! Any coach that proclaims that will be fired in no short order of winning is the priority. Since it hasn't been acted on than winning isn't an end goal and more declined is inevitable. Get out now or go with the future layoffs that will most certainly come!

Welcome to the new Intel lots of initiatives poorly thought thru and not either structural positioned or people positioned. ACT2 and ACT3 are coming in 2017 and 2018

@JnegxOe-jgr - same for me. Was spending days on chat and screen sharing remotely helping two unbelievable incompetent indian guys to debug his own code. Raised the problem to management and warned that project will fail. Asked if I should take over or if they are OK with a potential failure. Answer was - let it fail. I wonder if I was setup for an IR next focal ...

Thanks for your response, who. I have seen very similar situations at other companies dealing with these no nothing URMs who have other do their work. Their only purpose appears to be diversity driven and possible lawsuit, if fired.

The problem isn't Indian or Asian it is URM and sorry Indian and Asian aren't the URM problem, they are just part of the larger hireable pool at the moment. If more white strive for PHD and stayed in STEM this would just be an age discrimination discussion. The URM with women, black, Hispanic focus over best candidate pool is just technical suicide

The trollies get over it and accept the wealth of diversity that made the US and is still making US great except this company because they got a low IQ San Jose state retard running it

Intel leads in URMs per capita.

We fail on transitor cost and performance.

Great job BK!

Intel's competitors love it when Intel shot itself in the head with a shotgun.

Qualcomm, Apple, Nvidia etc... aren't doing this BS.

Nice post. I am an older, white, male former Intel employee who was laid off in ACT1. Before the lay-offs, I often found the younger, Indian employees coming to me asking for advice and help in many areas of our departments mission. I was able to help them out of their jams on many occasions, but they certainly needed a person with know how in order to be successful. Yet I was the one who was laid off. Have heard that my inputs and solutions are missed. Their loss.
