Everyone is motivated to make sure they aren't an IR or stock 4 or 5 as BK has spoken performance management is back and if your aren't a URM be careful at being average as they only want above average every year
According to a survey on Circuit, most people who answered say they're motivated by their paychecks.

I don't trust the cheap-4ss TWWW material in the walls and the cheap flooring material. Probably got it on sale from Lumber Liquidators (formaldehyde soaked Chinese sh*t). All I know is the air is bad there and I didn't even work in a fab but was an office worker. I sneezed daily, all day long for years. I just kept saying "It's allergies, I sneeze year round" so people nearby wouldn't think I had the cooties or something. lol
Oddly, the constant sneezing stopped shortly after taking a package. Whatever caused me to sneeze all the time was left behind at Intel.
Sign me: Glad to be gone for OH so many reasons. :)

Securitas which is the company in charge of building security for Intel, at least for the sites with Fabs, is not trained as first defense against an attack you have suggested. I have spoken to local security guards about such an event. They simply press a panic button to local authorities. It would seem by the time the authorities arrive, plenty of damage would have been done. In my opinion, Securitas should be able to carry weapons, but Intel will not let them.
There's also the "Ronler Effect" that I'm not quite sure I trust as being safe.... @1wdg:

I just REALLY wanted to get out of having to breathe their air day in and day out as I just didn't trust it. Well, that and everything else I already mentioned. Just REALLY glad to be gone. :)

Actually, that was my concern for the 15+ years I was there, @bmc. (horrific shooting rampage). I just have this gut feeling it's bound to happen at some point. I even used to always be cognizant of my surroundings and exits.
I even spoke to Security about it because (and all due respect to those manning the lobbies).... but none of them looked like they could handle a situation like that and I feared spending the majority of my waking life in a place that could have some sort of "situation", and no one qualified to help. I was told (without them saying much) that there's more behind the scenes and not to worry. I still worried but felt a little better knowing there was/were more than who I saw sitting in the lobbies.
That, the stress, the toxic environment (mentally), and what I'm guessing are toxic fumes that I don't want to breathe from TW3 (guessing that sh*t (cheap looking floors and cublcle walls) are made in China) is what lead me to leave as soon as offered a package after becoming retirement eligible (Rule of 55. No way I was staying till the Rule of 75, it was years down the road).
I'm hoping that ACT2 and ACT3 occur. Need a boost in the stock price.
Since ACT, OP? Most seemed to have lost their motivation PRIOR to ACT was my take.
