Are you kidding me? I know there are no good candidates, but you can't think voting for a game show host for president will have any effect on Honeywell. How would Trump's bankruptcy business record help?

The end goal is to make Dave as rich as possible at your and the company's expense. That's it. No other goals.

The thing you guys all have to understand is that Honewell and Cote are taking advantage of a curious modern phenomena in the stock market. Investors are extremely myopic, and HON can juice the share price at the expense of long term stability and profitability. There is no limit to how many people they can fire, how many suppliers they can piss off and how much cost cutting they can perform--before the top brass can sell their shares and get out before it tanks.

In this sense, HON is acting completely rationally. The only people who are irrationally in this whole game are the employees voting for Hillary instead of Trump.

They say if you can predict the weather, you can predict the stock market

I guess being able to read people and situations has been easy but this one has me in bigger thought, the failed powerplay to UTC means that there has to be something else on the horizon and it would happen this year, just can't piece it together

You'd think being ranked dead last in supplier rankings at one of the largest aircraft companies a year or two ago, that Honeywell's upper management would improve confidence with that customer by NOT cutting employees at a fast rate. Since then, there have been multiple waves of layoffs & cost/project cuts in Aero.

What is the end game? Looting of the company & selling the problems to someone else. At least UTC was smart enough to stay far away.

Probably Dave Cote making Bank is the end game.

So what is the overall strategy behind all these erractic actions? Incompetence in leadership? Selling of divisions? Maintaing the metrics for that one individual's bonus? Fear of a VP getting their head chewed off and then fired? What is the end game?
