Intel hired Murthy thinking he would fix the mess, but it seems tha the right guy was with ARM (Warren East was CEO of ARM). He got hired by Rolls Royce and he is laying off people but most of the people let got are managers. Someone like Warren East was what Intel needed.

East is doing exactly the right thing at Rolls Royce. He was very easily able to deduce a managerial issue, very similar to the issue at Intel. Intel needs a new line of thinking and it starts with the mgmt. The current set of mgrs are a bunch of cowards.
Warren is a seasoned industry veteran at the top. Why would a smart person like him want to come work for the fool from San Jose State as a second in waiting on the Titanic?
