I think you mean Airtouch. But you're right. Lowell was not a serious player in the game, which is why he was a backbencher for so long.

Pure nonsense! PrimeCo was a 5th string nobody in wireless. But Bell Atlantic was forced to buy them because of their non-compete agreements in Texas and Florida which were cash cows for GTE Wireless. Bell Atlantic got outbid for PrimeCo by Vodafone which is how the Verizon Vodafone deal came to be. LowMac was the absolute last string QB in Wireless, and now he has proved why that was.

You weren't there during the PrimeCo years. They owned the Texas and Florida markets, and were able to succeed in ways that still show today.

@JsP9Dby-qlj you can wipe lowmac's jizz off your chin and lips now. He is as heartless as his wife.

Lowell ran PrimeCo better than Airtouch, GTE Mobility, or Bell Atlantic Mobility were run.

Ask anyone who worked at PrimeCo in Texas or Florida 20 years ago and they'll remember those years fondly.

That doesn't mean what worked in 1996 was or can be sustainable in 2016. The market has changed, and so has customer expectations for value. Leaders need to be wise to that.

This article could be used to describe the majority of all levels of management at Verizon.
