No news releases either. Work for Argosy. Very quiet, calm before storm. Leadership (inept) acting secretive. Meanwhile, business as usual - forced to telemarket to poor, undereducated, many can hardly speak English, to talk them into enrolling into a program they are incapable of completing and be left in crippling debt.

Fort Lauderdale has never been the same size after they opened Miami International University 20 minutes away. (actually they bought IFAC and changed name then moved entire campus across street to new digs). South Florida can't handle two Art Institutes so close together and maintain large student population. Lots of competition for private schools in SOFLO and more and more programs similar to AIs. Plus EDMC has almost stopped putting money into growth of programs. Both campuses hover around 1000 to 1200 students. AIFL was once over 3000 before Miami gobbled up lots of he Miami-Dade County students. Then half the property AIFL was sitting on was sold to a developer who is currently building high end condos all around the college. Boxed in. And yeah they remodeled the older building a couple years ago.
Election Nov. 7. Closures announced Nov. 8. Calling it now.
I thought Ft. Lauderdale was the one remaining success story, getting renovated and yadda, yadda. Maybe they are coming in way under forecast for Fall.
They fired the campus president at the fort lauderdale campus today. guessing she got caught with her hand in the till..

Actually, they tried to transform into a submarine and they are about to depressurize- pop!
no google stock info listed at all for EDMC- for the first time ever. Not sure what that means, but that is exactly what happened to ITT when they closed
