If you come across this page while contemplating working for Diodes Fabtech, please stop and forget them. They have tons of job openings now, because people are leaving in droves. Awful management, dangerous chemicals, and no opportunities, except for special pets(O.N.), make working here unbearable.
They hire lots of H1b visa workers because they no you can't just up and quit, they will use your status against you. Please take my warning seriously, avoid the misery.
I know what your talking about, its the heating elements in the sink. If you drain it before shutting off the heater it can catch the sink on fire. They have just continued to use that setup for some reason for a long time.. It would make more sense to make it fail safe, where draining the sink and shutting off the heater is the same switch.
Also on the employee thing, they have screwed over people who have worked there a long time. No loyalty or dedication and low wages for Fab people. Its not worth the risk to your health.
I agree. Don't work there at all. They are liars and they will always try to get over on their employees no matter how long you have dedicated your time to them. This fire that happened was purely human error, that area sink has caught on fire many times before and luckily someone was there to put it out. But this time they had a lazy a-- in there who was not paying attention and now they are out of a job during the holidays. Within 1 year they have had 2 fires in different departments. This place screams danger esp. when there are so many dangerous chemicals in there and under the building, along with people and children who share the same building as Diodes Fab Tech.
Your are so right about them yanking h1b visa people buy the chain. They hired this one engineer HT years ago, and she had no experience with the simulation software they used, which was Silvaco tools. I saw no reason why they should hire her, but apparently the boss RH hired her because he felt she didn't threaten his job. Hiring policies and promotion policies are unfair and it not based on skill.
