Here is what I want Doug to know, there were some (some, not all) people laid off in our area that were the best people in the department, they were the innovators and top performers, what is up with that?
On the other hand, we have more than a handful of 20+ year Sr. Directors who need to go; they cause problems and their industry knowledge is laughable to everyone, including vendors. We've tried to bring innovative savings ideas, etc. to these Sr. Directors only to be told "that isn't the way it has always been done."
Keeping the 20+ year people who have outlived their usefulness and can't get employment elsewhere, while letting the top people go makes no sense whatsoever. Why aren't they cutting those that represent the bottom 10% from a performance standpoint? What kind of company allows the top talent to be cut?
