Stacey has been being groomed for something for the 16 years I've been there. Long ago I remember when it was he and JJ Johnson leading IT. I never understood that and then he was fairly quick to move onto the next gig. Been doing that more than anyone else is appears he's being groomed. CEO maybe? Why not? Kirk is probably working for the CIA - that guy would give an entire BUM with complete details without any notes whatsoever. He is a genius. The guy who always calls people with differing opinions "trolls" is a big Ahole. His stupidity does not allow him to come up with others words to use.
Don't ever think or believe your job is safe in Intel. The company needs to shed another 30K or so to get to a respectable $ profit/capita goal, and this is assuming the projections they gave for the four new areas of business growth are accurate.
I guess you have to ask yourself what fundamental new strategies have been implemented since DB took over from KS. Letting KS go was a critical error that will take years for the full effect to be felt.
vhu here @qfc. Actually, I took ERP so I was an Intel employee and my comment still stands. The shift where no place is safe didn't just start. Sounds like you had your head in the sand if you didn't see it before this. I saw the shift long ago.
Guessing you meant something other than what I did (the shift about focal ratings and stock levels giving people the boot) then I'll give you that. THAT is a shift, but what I meant was not. Groups haven't been safe for a long, long time. WAY before ACT IMHO. A lot of it wasn't very visible or talked about but it was there.
And don't be an 4ss. Not everyone on this site is a troll just because they have a differing opinion than yours, or if you don't understand what they meant.

@vhu -obviously you are not an Intel employee - yes there is a shift..it started in July 2015 - of course you were not there. The shift is simply: No more BE, CAP, or IR. You were given an SL4 and BAM - ISP. The shift is that the rules for focal HAVE CHANGED and NO ONE is safe - the new shift is SL3+No EE + In grade >4 years = ISP. I really hate trolls.

This is NOT a shift. It's been like this for a long LONG time. It's just more prominent now and more out in the open.
I was forced out with VSP - DCG here. There is a shift at Intel. No safe place. If you were offered VSP and didn't take it..you are already gone - yes your name is on the do not hire list from HR - you will receive ISP by end of this year or early 2017. I still have contacts on the inside.
