I am not an employee or associate or whatever you folks are called. I am just a customer. My question is this: Does anyone know why the Cape Girardeau Missouri grand store is still open? A huge store devoid of customers. I went in for lawnmower blades, left after finally finding a sales clerk who told me it wasn't his dept and he didn't know who to call.

One reason could be the lease on the property. They may be 'running out the clock', as it were, until the lease is about to expire, then they close it.
Many stores are still open for logistical reasons. They need to keep certain stores open so that truck deliveries are cost effective
If you went in there as a customer, that means this store is busier than most SHC stores....

Don't sell yourself short. You are not JUST a customer; you are a valued "member"
Why are any still open?
