I wonder if any of the leadership team gets hate mail/emails. They are scum. Let's replace them with millenials

If you want to file suit, you first need to file with the Federal EEOC or the equivalent in your state. For instance, in my state, if I file with the state agency, they automatically file it federally. Through the EEOC you have 300 days from the date of the occurrence (discrimination, harassment, etc). In my state, you have 365 days.

But remember, you sign that package, it pretty much insulates Cisco. Employment law cases are very hard to win with any real amount given for damages to make it worth it.

As to who will get bonuses and how much I can say it is very much up to the discretion of your former manager and their management chain. I can only comment on how I personally did things in the past and this time. Since I was impacted I have no way of knowing with certainty what ended up happening.

I always tried to treat those impacted fairly. If they were bottom performers (which I was pretty successful in making sure that those impacted were when I had a say in the matter) then they did get bad bonuses or none at all, just like I would have given them if they hadn't been impacted.

In this round even though I was impacted I was still asked to put in numbers. Based on what was in comp planner the day I left I think that my numbers stayed but it is possible they changed after the fact.

In this round I went out of my way to give something extra to my high performers who were impacted (and there were a LOT of them). I did that even at the expense of some high performers who stayed. I was pushed to give some high performers who were staying IPFs over 1.5. I held back kept them to 1.4 - 1.5 and was consequently able to bump others up into the 1.2 - 1.3 range. That is all except for my one employee who if he and I hadn't been impacted would have been going on a PIP. He got a .6 I think. Again just like I would have done if I had stayed.

That being said, I know a LOT of managers who treat it differently. They viewed those who were laid off as piggy banks to rob to give to the people that didn't. So what you see in your bonus is entirely dependent on the ethics and integrity of your manager and his/her management chain. Unfortunately for most of you that means you are going to see crap for bonuses.

The ethics and integrity at Cisco have dropped to levels that now that I can look at it objectively, makes my stomach churn. I'd like to think I never fell that far, but that's for others to judge about me.

Look guys... I'm sorry to be a downer... but most of us who got the axe are not getting a bonus. Why would your boss give you a bonus when you no longer work there? Also.. if you do end up getting one it'll be very small because... again.. what are you going to do? Complain?? You can't even enter the building anymore...

I believe the CPF was 1.05 and there is no CSF (Customer Satisfaction Factor) anymore so you can work out your IPF: 1.05 x IPF x (Target Bonus % for your Grade) = Annual Year End Bonus.

How do you calculate the IPF given your mid term and final bonus? My end of year bonus was pretty high so I wanted to see what my IPF was

Not sure what you can do to appeal the low IPFs. If you have proof of discrimination or retaliation, you could file a complaint with the national labor relations board or you could go to employee relations or you could get a lawyer. NLRB is probably your best bet since it's free and they're external. Probably the true best bet, though, is to focus your efforts on moving on. Sorry to hear that some folks got screwed out of their bonus.

WTF!!! They gave me ipf 0.6, so essentially my year end bonus is going to be peanuts. During exit interview my manager was saying that this is not performance related, and that I will receive bonus as if I where still with Cisco. And I definitelly didn't perform so poorly to deserve this.

Looks that he screwed me up heavily. I wish I had recorded this.

Anyone knows if I can anyhow formally appeal it? Probably not, as this is all "discretionary", but maybe someone knows somehting? There is nothing in the letter about it.

For people asking about how I received it. It came today by regular mail.

What letter are you referring to? I did not get any letter?

I don't have access to email anymore... how did you get a letter?

BONUS : Not sure what the hell they r thinking , basically a letter equating my bonus to the same amount as my mid year bonus so IPF = 0.5 ?How can they do that ??A performer suddenly drops to bottom 5 ?? And only manager inputs about employee performance . Feels like revenge ..Not sure if anyone is fighting for it .
