Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Makes me think about the string quartet on the Titanic continuing to play as the ship sinks

Another $320 MM of red ink, 7th quarterly loss in a row. I wonder when shareholders will demand a change in leadership?

not sure there will be a change in leadership now that it's way past the big red take-over

it seems that the large shareholders are quite happy with the leadership and the way the company is moving along

The earnings call answers to questions from analysts sound as if they intend to spin PP off into some sort of JV. What lunatic would hook up with BHI in a JV?

Now listen to Mart...he reckons we did not lose as much q3 as q2 so thats good. But if all is equal and BH are doing a bang up job, and the dowturn is global ... why is Halibut doing better after giving BH $3.5 billion. BH spread relies so much on US operations revenue and more to the point their profit. So until those books balance ...don't hold your breath and s--- up another $100 million savings by year end... or translated as more layoffs, cutbacks , property sales and corporate equivalents of Black Friday stock clearout sales,... hang on to your seats..they are up for sale.

The deeper into the red we go the higher the stock price... keep losing money folks and we'll be up to $100 a share by year end ! We have a department totally dedicated to losing money ..it's called the C-Suite ! The rewards are high but the loss goals are steep.
