Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Dont you morons in leadersh*t get it yet? We are DONE working free overtime from home.

Dear valued colleague (LOL)

Two weeks ago, you received a communication about changes to the Remote Working Policy. I have received a great deal of inquiries and questions and I’d like to clear up some confusion regarding the requirements and expectations. The intent of the policy is to address remote working situations where employees work regularly, or consistently, from home or another non-Honeywell location as a standard practice during their normal business hours.

The policy is not intended to preclude employees from doing any work from home. We are a global organization that requires us to work across time zones. Many of us are in roles that require us to have meetings and phone calls with colleagues from other regions outside of our normal work hours. We must continue to operate in this way and the policy does not prevent us from doing so.

We all have occasional situations that arise that make reporting to the office impractical or impossible. These might include a personal or family illness. Not unlike the current expectations, employees should be communicating with their manager and HR and asking if they are approved to work from home. The policy will address how we will handle these occasional situations and will treat them as a one-off exception request.

More information will be coming to managers and local HR during the coming weeks. You should not make any change to your current working situation until you and your manager have met and discussed any needed change. As with all policies, any changes will be in compliance with all applicable laws.

Regards,

AERO "leadersh*t" team

Hey Dave, don't worry about approving any "one off exceptions" for me ....

... due to the long commute, by the time I get home from work there is no time left to donate free OT to HI. Therefore I will not be bringing my laptop home anyway. So for those unexpected "should not be more than a few days a year" times when I can't make it in, I will just take a vacation day. No need to crank up the whole chain of command to get that holy exception baptized and sent back down. Gee, I sure hope that doesn't happen on a day when there is something important due. Or the office needs to get ahold of me. That's going to be a bit difficult when I am not allowed to work remotely unless I have also gone to the office.

But thanks for bringing back true vacations. No more getting contacted by the office and having to work while on vacations. Whether it is a planned vacation or an impromptu, on the spot vacation. Dave seems to be so fond of impromptu, on the spot events anyway.

They can only get it one way or the other. Can't get it both ways.

Flexible hours for flexible works.

Punch in punch out for fixed timeframe.

That's it.

Was this an actual email? I didn't see this one.

I'd be careful copying and pasting emails that aren't wide spread... Saddam Hussein used to leak false information to people about his location... when that location was attacked, he knew who was leaking the info... and those people were never heard from again...

Now, I am not comparing Cote to Saddam...because Saddam at least dressed well.

Let me get this straight. When it benefits HON, we are a global company and we need to support meetings across time zones. When it benefits Me, I need to come in for face to face collaboration and meetings in the kitchen, because I'm more productive that way.

Listen, you motherfckers, that ship has sailed and you have burned that bridge. You are all now backpeddling after realizing you fcked up and now you want to make us work for free from home. Well to that i say, F*CK ALL OF YOU AND MERRY RIFMAS, B--ch
