Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Honeywell HATES Employees!

Employees are a burden to honeywell. Especially the old timers. What a great company this used to be. We would get paid for results. We had benefits in line with other similar businesses. We had dedicated employees. We had employees with vast and useful knowledge. We built quality hardware. We attempted to take any requested job. Now there are just old timers, most very knoweldagable, wanting to get out and a bunch of newbe bozos. Oops, lets not forget our workforce south of the border and overseas. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE.

I need to jump ship soon, while Honeywell still looks good on a resume (and it might even be too late).

They just hate having to pay them. Cote comes from GE where Welsh ruled with an iron fist keeping employees stressed and nervous for their jobs. He used the “rank and yank” system which popularized results in workers being pitted against their peers. The constant burning and turning kept them afraid.

If you read the threads of this website for AT&T, Cisco & Qualcomm, you'd think they could all be the same company. They all hate their own employees. Especially older American ones in their 50s and up.

This is pretty much what it all boils down to. It used to be understood that people are the business, as opposed to an obsticle to greater and greater profits. They fundamentally misunderstand the purpose of management, and as a result we are treated with mistrust. After years of tricking us into extra work with promises of rewards that never materialized, we know who the untrustworthy ones are.

They simply and insanely changed their perception of us, from being their greatest asset to their greatest liability. They have always been idiots and it’s just that when business is good even idiots can look like geniuses, as it takes no effort on their part. But when business is bad….well….you get what you get, idiots being themselves.

So much of unfairness, there are many that can just...blah...blah...everyday, only has education only up to college with some experience but can get paid higher than one with PhD from the field which he works. It's used to be a good company. Nowadays, many things and services got subcontracted out, the employees don't have sense of ownship of anything anymore.
