I've heard it's 3% but so many rumours abounding I'm not sure what to believe. Looking at other threads ob here it looks like the Q2 LRs have already started in some countries. We just about finished with the Q1 redundancies here in the UK, don't know if I want to go through all that again!

What a pity, Cisco seem to be on a race to the bottom!!

Great company at one point, now its joined the rest of the Wall Street driven s**t that poses as a super duper place to work.

I was LR'ed last September (Europe). For anyone interested, the market is really kicking off over here....come and join the party. People with an savvy will do well. Plus, its got to be better than boring SJ?

Best of luck to all who were impacted.

SPVSS has not even been touched yet, they are having a re-org and then the axe will fall, heard it might start next week. Might even be changing name again to SPB (Service Provider Business)

The LR package has lost its sεxyness I left last month and a few of my friends are already talking to recruiters. The exodus will continue the people are fed up and moral is at an all time low.

They'll cut whatever BU has an earning glitch. No long term view.

They did it last year. They'll do it again. Yes it is confusing to the peons. But to ELT, it makes perfect sense since the knobs and sliders on their spreadsheet said so.

Guys, this is simple and has been said many times already. Layoffs are every quarter (at least in US). The Big One is after the end of a year (August / September), and then during the year there are smaller ones, below 5% threshold, what is a level above which it's customary to officially announce. Officially they are not called LR, but practically there are no differences. Packages are sometimes worse during the smaller LRs.

In regions other than US - it varies. Regions with laws where doing a layoffs is a huge undertake (like France) often get a pass during the year.

And guess what - we're just finishing first quarter. So.... brace yourself, LRs are coming.

Any Geo or Group (BU, Sales, Marketing, etc.)? Is it in phases again with the US first? It does not make sense to have a LR, then a raise and then another LR. What is the strategy here? I thought LR to reduce cost. Raise to increase cost. Then LR to reduce cost. I am confused. If a second LR has to happen, then please at get rid of the fat and not the good muscle like the last time. Be surgical and strategic about it.

I said this before and will say it again. Where do you think the original 14,400 number came from? You think someone just made it up for fun? Cisco will downsize drastically. They are doing it in phases.
