It's all downhill from here. Any benefits taken will NEVER be returned. You see, you're stealing money out of that fat blob Dave cotes pockets when you get benefits and Dave doesn't like that. He needs lots of money to buy those dildos and anal lube for when he's needing some release.

Remote working arrangements will not be returning after the RIF. Honeyhell will continue to gut benefits.
Working remote will return right after Rifmas. When I was a young engineer back in the early 80's my boss told me "you really don't think the company is going to pay you to play on that computer all day!!"
Years back I put in my resignation from HW. To my surprise, I was offered the ability to work remote in the position I held at the time. I was told HW saw me as an asset.
Now I realize I was just a convenience. Truly sad as I've always been proud to work for HW. I'm still hoping the company will at the very least treat us fairly. Is that too much to ask?
I have been a long term remote worker and was advised that the exemption request approvals will be very few and far between. My managers are also not so sure about what will be available except be on-site or else... My best plan was to volunteer for the layoff to be able to get a severance package. Moving to another state in a short amount of time is not an option for me. Being accepted in the layoff is no guarantee either. Not so good.
Now that everyone is at work.. Honeywell HR can tap you on the shoulder to tell you Merry Rifmas!!!! There are a lot strangers at Torrance. Many believe Honeywell Aero will shed the sites that are not profitable. Did everyone see the $255 Billion forecast for the next decade and the STRAP analysis... OMG.. We have work, just not in the U.S.
I'm still remote and live far away from any Aerospace site. I don't know of any other people in the same situation :-#
No one at my site is WFH anymore.
Many employees in buildings crammed around conference room tables with no place to sit.
With the posts on this thread, I'm lead to believe it's NOV 1st and 999 Aerospace employees are still working from home.
Anybody?
Has anyone heard whether there will be a severance option? Or will employees be told "either come in to the office or quit"?
We are told that requests are going to Cote, not Johnson. And so, exemptions or exceptions are not likely
Was told that there will only be a handful of exemptions and they are looking for a site for me to go into. Been working remote for six years. Don't live close to anyone I work with.
I was told my request for exemption was going up to Bob Smith for approval last week. I've heard nothing since. So I think it's safe to assume it is now being passed up the chain sarcasm
1000 aero remote workers...That's quite the RIF pool all under the guise of "we work better together"
about 1000 aero employees work remote 100% of the time, or they used to anyway
wake up guys. They want everyone at the office for the RIF. Much damage could be done if Honeywell was to RIF someone who is working remote. This way they can pick up your phone and laptop right away.
And there goes all that free OT ... what an incredibly short sighted policy. It's a loose-loose for both HI and the employees. And the other residents of the planet we are now releasing more carbon monoxide onto for no good reason.
I'm aware of a Hon location with 37 people in need of an office or cube and the site has no capacity or room to accomidate them right now, do now what?
I heard today, one Engineering Mgr. Reporting direct to Bob Smith had 250 exceptions submitted to him, and of those only 1 was passed upwards. Direction to our team is ... Starting Nov 1 - start reporting onsite unless specific exceptions like medical.
How many remote employees does honeywell have? Thought it was just a few... doesn't make sense for it to take a month
Have to be back in the office on the 14th.
my exemption request is on hold, reason ..waiting for cooler heads to prevail.
I had heard a week or so ago that the exception process would take until the end of the month at least. All exceptions have to be reviewed and approved by Dave Cote himself.
Haven't heard anything yet...
