Just received notice about going from salary to hourly, all with a pay CUT! Not allowed to work over 40 hrs per week. I do that by Thursday. Dont have an ASM, so who is going to run the store? Also are we suppose to close the store to take lunch since we have to clock out?

We already get complaints when we have to close the store for a quick restroom break (less than 5 minutes), closing for a lunch break should be very interesting! Abide by the law of lunch break after 6 hrs worked. Lock the door, if Follet gets complaints refer all complaints to the RM who directed the action!
Also salary employees cannot be forced to work OT, but employers will claim insubordination and fire you.!!
Another post said their RM told them to lock door for lunch breaks. Unreal.
The RM that we see once a year. He couldn't answer any questions I asked. Useless.
Which RM? Mine hasn't told me nothing.
Clock out, leave the store and take your lunch at a leisurely pace. When you hit 40 hours, lock the doors and go home. New lows in customer service is Follett's agenda to force colleges to abandon high rent leases without incurring a monetary penalties.
