I called today about my retirement. It was like the woman on the other end was trying to talk me out of it. She said three times, you know when you retire you dont get retirement cost of living raises. Duh, I told her I had a hearty 401k to fall back on. Then she said you have 35 years in, you need to think about it and not make a rush decision. They need to RIF her, doesn't she know Cote wants us oldies to leave.

The next step will be to reduce the severance to a simple amount regardless of years of service. This is all in preparation for RIFs and high turnover.
We aren't getting increases at work either... Retire!
Next year they don't have to pay you for unused vacation. Retire in 2016. Congrats
