Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Fed Laws say employer does not have to give any vacation to employees in the US. Unbelievable!

So. Federal law states that employers do not have to give you any vacation time. Ever. At all. Check it out:

How much more can we possibly hate this company?

oic. Textiles should be brought back to the US instead of that p.o,s, Chinese stuff they sell. I guess we will all just have to save if we want something nice. Nothing wrong with that.

@kwx, FYI, politics is not allowed at this site, so moderators usually delete all the political referrals. You can check the site rules somewhere at the bottom of the page. What @awy probably meant is just to be sure that all political posts be deleted, not just his/hers.

Has he brought his own employees back to the US or are his products still being made in other countries?

I am hoping against hope that he stops these disloyal corporations from betraying the American people by continuing to export our jobs until this plays becomes completely third world. This will be his greatest legacy if he keeps his promises.

Understood. But still not "half" bad for a guy who hasn't even been sworn in yet.

Carrier post: Don't just read the headlines. 1,000 of the 2,000 Carrier employees are moving to Mexico. Small or delayed victory for U.S.

If there is an upside, I'm glad there is media attention to the exodus of US jobs.

I'm not trying to suppress anything. They've deleted political posts so I assume there are rules against them for this sight.

Well see what Trump does and why should this person's post be deleted. Are you trying to suppress free speech? He can have his opinion. As far as Trump goes I hope he does what he says. Looking at the people he is surrounding himself with does not give me much hope.

Responding to pro-Bernie, anti-trump post below...

You couldn't be more wrong. Look at today's news about carrier staying in the US.

Is unlimited vacation PAID or UNPAID? Many years ago I worked for a company and was told I would get 2 weeks vacation after 1 year. Took those two weeks and found out they never said PAID.

Yep the US is run by the corporations. Stupid ppl keep voting in those that pick their pockets. When your electorate is stupid this is what you get. It's that great "capitalism" that everyone keeps screaming they want. Capitalism without bounds simply means the 1% get richer and everyone else is at their mercy. Too bad Bernie didn't win. If anyone thinks trump will help the average worker, you need a lobotomy.

US workers also take the least vacation days of any developed company.

Yup ! That's the law Same for number of holidays, pto, sick, and wfh .... alll are at company discretion or " at will". Labor law only cover brake time and overtime for non exempt.
