Wireline has the same "issues" w/ FMLA. Its not specific to the location, it is the culture of the company.

It was a good run. Met some great people while with VZW. Next month will be full of various emotions. Sad. Confused. Nervous. I just want to know when they are paying out severance.

Heard the plan change will be a good one but we'll find out tomorrow.

Stop whining about FMLA abuse. If 70% of the employees are using FMLA then that means you have a problem with the leadership and the company. NOT the employees.

Besides, Rancho probably had just as many s-xual harassment cases open as FMLA claims lol. That should give you a small taste of what it was like to work there. Not to mention the horrible leadership that got fired early during layoffs and the idiotic carrot chasing day to day pressure.

We brought the closure on ourselves? Well thank you sweet baby Jesus, Tom Cruise, and Oprah Winfrey. I'm taking my severance and shoving off.

You are right about the FMLA abuse Ranch Cordova, which was bad for those that really had serious health issues and still working. I worked in Rancho from 2001 to 2012 it was ridiculous and cost Verizon millions every year. The laws in California is one reason many businesses are leaving California. I still work for Verizon in a state where the laws are not so insane and much more business friendly.

I have not heard anything. For the people in the Ranch Cordova center you brought the closure upon yourselves. 70% of the staff there had open FMLA claims so they could take vacation when they wanted to. I hope you enjoy your permanent vacation and hopefully in your next job you respect what you have there instead of abusing it till it's gone.
