I get what you are saying. It is sad. I had to buy a 10MM wrench today with my SYW points to change a battery because we don't have one in auto besides the Master Tech's set which he OWNS. Seriously?
I am going to take that wrench when I leave to add to the other dozen I have in my OWN garage. I will go get some of my other tools from my garage because I can't function doing a job that I know how to do, and can do, but was not hired to do yet do anyway while answering the phone.
