Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Can the incompetent imbeciles please get on with the RIF so that the competent can get on with their lives?

Everyone is on pins and needles, waiting, and waiting. Many would like to know where they stand in the new year. But that will require that the incompetent imbeciles become humane and end the torture! Wishful thinking I guess.

I don't think there is GW pollution.. but maybe other stuff for sure.. lol. There is no telling what "logic" they are using to make these decisions.

So is the layoff today? I heard there would be one for 59th.

Why they can't close the 59th ave site ...... site management to gping to reopen the cafeteria tomorrow morning after spending 200K remodel job. They will have a ribbon cutting with (so-called) free donuts and coffee.

I think DV will be around a long time - too much liability (GW pollution?) for them to offload that. Also, it appears to be becoming a HW campus of sorts with folks from all kinds of SBGs being relocated there. I think 59th Ave is probably toast - likely those left over will relocate to DV (c---roaches an' all).

Gubmint would never allow 59th Avenue to be touched.

So you think Deer Valley is in, but 59th Ave is out? It would make sense....huge site.

I was RIF'd last week and it's such a burden off of me. I'm quite happy about it.

My advice to all of you who are, like I was, totally miserable and ready to go, consider a couple of things.

If you're pretty certain that you're going to get RIF'd in the next 6 months and you know you're severance package is going to be good, try sticking it out a bit longer.

However, if they change it so that the maximum severance is 13 weeks, start looking for a job now, because it's just not worth waiting for.

As my RIF group was being laid off, my manager said that Honeywell (or at least HBT) wants to have everyone located at only 6 different sites. So, if your site is small, I'm fairly confident that you'll be gone by March, or shortly afterward.

Good luck everyone!

Life after Honeywell is sweet.
