As has been the theme of a few posts the tipping point for Intel has passed and their fate is sealed!
20 years ago thru the x86 virtuous cycle, little Intel beat them all! Motorola, IBM, National, TI and all the Japanese mega conglomerates. Just as the fate was certain 15 years ago as is the fate even more certain now!
Today a scrappy little startup lead by Morris has the virtuous cycle. The scale required and barriers to recover or entry are even larger. TSMC, Samsung and China hold the future. Intel's only hope is the Trump card 😏
The 10nm and 7nm and now 5nm announcements by one while the old guard shrivels away is so obvious.
So if you work at Intel you ready to retire soon, work at Starbucks or local Home Depot or plan to go East my poor soul.

Yes, TSMC is ahead of Moore's law with 5nm. You know Moore's law, the rule that has governed chip fabrication for 3 decades. But now, magically, while everyone else slows down, TSMC speeds up. TSMC, a company totally NOT known for over promising and under delivering.
I'm no shill, I know ACT2 is on the way. But c'mon man, this should peg your BS meter to the max.

How about an ecosystem of a billion ARMy with iOS and Google Android and cutthroat innovation and competitors from multiple big conglomerates to scrappy startups. Let's not talk about the additional few billion ARMy of micro controllers as well.
Compare that to the Old guard of Intel out on their on little island. Yes revenue 50B+ and great profits, but tide is rising fast as the ARMy will soon overrun Intel's little garden paradise.
Intel has no process lead anymore, no manufacturing advantage, no scale advantage, no cost advantage, and certainly no leadership advantage. They look formidable to the bean counters on wallstreet but are really about to be swept away by the ARMy. Once they have to book 10nm the farce will be apparent.
Tipping point has come and gone, grab your life vest if you are on board as more ACTs a coming.

Sad to say, they are dominating Intel, but the lying managers will never tell their employees. They'll lay them off when the time comes. Lol.
