Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Glassdoor Reviews

Anyone notice Honeywell's recent Glassdoor reviews? So many positive ones (which even in good times, they seemed to have more negative reviews). They all seem to mention how many layers there are to management as the only con. Isn't there a reorg happening next year? lol...

Fake reviews and they will look like they are addressing employees problems.

Great culture - really? Let’s see - you have catastrophic health insurance with outlandish premiums for little to no coverage, No dental, No vision and No raises for the past several years. DE banding and reduction in MIP. Oh wait yea unlimited vacation. Only people that are left working there are little sheep waiting to be slaughtered that actually believe the outlandish manure coming out of leadership. The company is a disgrace and if you honestly believe anyone in management or HR cares about the employee’s you naïve.

You guys need to know how Glassdoor operates - the majority of money they get is from sponsoring deals with companies - HON HR is in bed with them, we pay them to maintain our profile there just like we pay to LinkedIn to maintain HON LI over there - anyhow, all posts are moderated, good luck sneaking through anything that the censor does not like.

So, when reading things on GD you need to really read between the lines - so Good means meh, OK means bad, Awesome means good and so on.

Honestly, aside from this site you will not find a spot where you can read the real truth as they are in bed with CNBC and other media - as long as they are buying ads they are golden there - I am not going ALT on you here or pushing conspiracy theories - this is purely based on my observations (my wife was recently looking for a job in Oil and Gas and we were doing quite a bit of research on mid and top tier companies)...

I am not claiming that layoff dot com is the holy grail here but as we were researching me and my wife were balancing comments from friends, Glassdoor, layoff.com and reddit..

That's my view...

Good luck to all...

don't like your job or the culture in this company.

I enjoy working with my team and even for the people I work directly under.

There are certainly problems but they're just not enough to ruin the culture or love of my job. I may be sheltered, not being in ISC or in a leadership position. I get the feeling you may be both (a situation I wouldn't care too much for either).

@ -tcf While that may be true, my point is still that unless you're incredibly sheltered from what's been going on in this company or you're a VP level manager, you don't like your job or the culture in this company. Which is a shame because I agree that the people you work with day to day are usually nice people. I enjoy working with my team and even for the people I work directly under. But the people who have their heads in the clouds (or up their asses) and refuse to admit there's a problem... Are typically contributing to it.

@-njq Hey Madsen! You did say you read this site, huh...

He might've said that but he probably has a little too much going on to lurk this site all day. Let alone post on it. -(obviously not madsen)

@-njq Hey Madsen! You did say you read this site, huh... Good to see you brushing off employee concerns instead of acknowledging and addressing them! Don't worry, if you just BELIEVE hard enough, I'm sure that will fix the huge rates of employee attrition and general mockery of your "leadership."

Was there an argument there?

There are a lot of self-respecting Honeywell employees who love their jobs.

Hahahaha.

Lol.

hahahahaha, a great culture at Honeywell. Must be cause they scored a whopping 8.3 out of 100 on the empathy scale. Yes a great culture indeed, lol. Anyone with self respect won't like Honeyhell.

Filter the reviews by US and active employees. Most of the higher rated ones are from foreign locations or retired employees who expirienced the good old days

I say we have a great culture. And I'm a Honeywell employee. And I've worked at other companies with worse cultures. Thankfully, the culture on this message board only reflects a disgruntled subculture of the company. At least that's how it it at my location.

@-yft makes a great point. Satisfied employees are less likely to leave reviews on GD. They're also less likely to post here.

Recruiting team can just BS reviews all day and rake in the s---ers. "Great culture" says no actual Honeywell employee ever.

As with anything, a happy and satisfied person is way less likely to go out and write a review.

It's the disgruntled people who have a negative experience that always take the initiative to write the review.

Actually, if you look at Glassdoor reviews starting at the "Date" section, there really aren't too many actual good reviews of Honeywell; in fact, the one with 5 stars that titles "Honeywell Love Affair!" is actually sarcastic and means to give it low ratings instead of high.

There are a few 4-5 star ratings, but the cons still seem to outweigh the pros listed.
