A year or two ago, there were a lot of money in the cloud group, many people switched to them from another parts of Cisco, taking a raise a promotion. Fast-forward a year, and 90% of them is no longer with the company.
If I were looking for something similar right now - where should I look? I don't care about job security - it doesn't exist anywhere in Cisco. So if I'm looking for an internal move, and am in it only for the money - what groups should I try to get into?
Collab BU is sinking so couldn't in good conscience promote it to anybody.

For the next year, look at Advisory service sales or Meraki. I'm in security and the writing is on the wall......
Jasper is disaster...do not go there...I had a discussion with director there...they have no clue how to grow...Cisco paid big money though...They are happy and they are looking to get out.
Staying is the high risk part..... being shown the door is the reward. ;)
Just kidding. If I were looking, I'd try to find a Partner AM role, so you can sit back and do nothing and no one will notice. During this time you can spend a year interviewing until you find a good opportunity elsewhere.
Even with the 15% increase in growth for Security, they got hit with layoffs the last two quarters.
As for Sales per someone's suggestion, rumor is big, ongoing changes still happening there. Lots of old-timers have already heard for the door, new young blood coming in working for much lower commission structure.
Shift to selling licenses from selling boxes not going smoothly. Also seems like ELT j@ck&ss Kevin B. is on a mission to increase revenue by decreasing/eliminating payoffs in each sale. AMs, SEMs, etc.
Security is probably the best of a bad bunch just now but you are not safe in security either. Realistically you are probably looking in the wrong company. That's the sad reality.
