The ARMy has arisen and now conquered the last bastion of obscene and protected profits. Google, FB, all the cloud hosters are fed up with forking billions to Intel. The ARMy ramp will be slow but now the foothold is established and price power will evaporate quickly for Intel.

Falling x86 volume and delayed process and design is already the rule for Intel.

Qualcomm and others are riding TSMC on 16, now 10nm and soon 7nm in 2017. Intel won't see 10nm servers till 2018 at the earliest and more likely 2019.

Tipping point has been past and collapse is all but certain!

Has anyone on here actually priced an Intel NIC Card? How about rack server? Huge margins in the article is an understatement. Intel might not lose a lot of market share, but in the server market, efficiency and price are just as, if not more important than performance. I know Amazon is chopping at the bit to get it's server farms to run on a local solar farm only. The major problem is that Intel and efficiency are always at odds. But Qualcomm loves efficiency and now with its new line up - price, performance and efficiency come in many flavors.
