Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

The migration had begun and still going on

I counted more than few dozens of people (whom I know) had migrated to ATK-Orbital, other companies in the same aero field, and other industries in PHX area or oos since the first furlough of '16. They're all very happy with their new assignments. I'm still counting and may include myself sometime soon. Wish me luck!

I've been to Orbital twice, and left twice, voluntarily. HIgh stress, arsehoal management, and the stress is high. Couldn't pay me enough to go back to that hole.

Hope this helps. ;)

I went from HW to Orbital. Mind numbing is an understatement. Think back to the 80s when thinking technology, it's still in place at Orbital. There are a lot of paper heavy processes and copying and filing. After being at HW you will go nuts. It's better than no job but not much better than HW

I have an interview at Orbital next week. To be honest, the job at Orbital as described by the guy on the phone didn't sound very interesting. Said they don't do any design work because rocket tech hasn't changed in 50 yrs other than guidance systems. I'm seeing it through to keep my options open, but has anyone worked at Orbital? Is the day to day job very challenging or more mind numbing?
