The problem with wireless now is the lack of management skills. All was good enough when things were good. But now leadership team does not have the experience to deal with a slowing business.

All is well on the wireline side....Boston wireline build going better than expected....They're actually hiring on the wireline side FACT! Verizon will be taking on New fiber wireline customers this month!!! FACT! Very exciting.
And with an 8% percent growth on the wirleine side forecasted compared to a 0% Zero percent growth on the failing wireless side, I must say All is well here at Verizon for the Wireline team
I wouldn't worry too much you wireless folk, (team) you have tremendous "marketable" skills and can land a job anywhere in the country paying you, even more, money, right? .....That's what I heard you telling the Wireline workers as you were doing their jobs while they were fighting the company for there's. You told them just to go away.
Remember the Billions of dollars that come into this company comes in on Wires FACT! Now you go away.

Verizon lacks leadership... In people manangement and especially in technical strategy. Verizon believed 4G was like 3G, which it's not and they believed a new iPhone every year is what they needed to retain and recruit new customers. There is no innovation. There was/is no plan for becoming a technology company.... Verizon believed the poor acquisitions of lack luster companies would make them competitive. What's sad is with all the layoffs there are still many worthless managers and above. A lot of people laid off are the people they needed to right this leaning/sinking ship....

In the business cycle there is always a point where the company starts to slide. It can recover but in most cases it does not. I believe that Verizon has started that downward slope. If this is true then this is when the most productive and innovative employees begin the exodus leaving the company only further crippled. It will be interesting to see how 2017 treats Verizon. If everything that I am hearing from people is true then we will see the people that make a difference accepting positions in other companies to bettter themselves.
