Only because if you don't someone else will. For folks who have been here since long time they have already made their money. For new comers this is a sh## hole. Very few learning opportunities. Lower pay compared to other companies. Benefits are not that great now. HR is probably the worst HR.

Because cost of living is so high in the Bay area, Q salaries are not far in proportion.

Yeah there is a mail group for left over food. Your colleagues will send you email if there is any leftover food after meetings. It is a big perk if you consider the bonuses they give.
QC is same in hyderabad too. I am not enjoying working in QC Hyderabad. Site head Shashi is biggest corrupt guy.
I agree. Management and HR is a## h### but some of my colleagues are good. Compensations s--- big time compared to hours we put in. Fresh grads who have other options should take the other option.

Some people want to live in San Diego, and qualcomm is one of the best options still. Indians may not realize, but silicon valley is not Mecca for all Americans.
People work there because their buddies promote them to high positions, also people work there because they believe is a good company unfortunately no longer....is full of corrupted directors, HR is biased, employees are not recognized etc
People work for the Q because they didn't excel in the valley.
