Lots of ups and downs yes but Weatherford is too highly leveraged to remain competitive. Plus their bond rating was downgraded. Good look with getting through 2017.
I'm second generation oil field. The original poster is correct. Insulting and belittling him does not change the fact that working in the oilfield is an up and down business...lots and lots of money when things are good, destitution when things are bad. It is just the way it it.
Well, you know, as sad as it may be it, what the original poster says is very true. We in the oilfield just continue to make the same mistakes we've made in the past. The managers eagerly have us capture lessons learned to present to the clients to show we've learned. Swap the people around and then you end up making the exact same mistakes again and again. This has been happening for many years.
