Wall Street doesn't work that way. Not does the competitive market. Oracle doesn't have years to show performance. At best 2 quarters to show something or investors will lose confidence and have.
Just because Oracle came out with a Cloud Machine does not mean it's selling. It will take years to get momentum. The product is still being developed. These things cannot happen overnight unless you are Amazon.
Who is the biggest liar? Trump or MH?
Whoo hoo. We're in the money! Can't wait to see my bonus check. McD's here I come.
Proactively evaluating the cost of the HW business - ouch, update your resumes
NetSuite not as profitable a as oracle, will address that - ouch, again, time to update resumes
Hurd said - R/D costs makes him popular with customers, not so much investors. LOL
Missed it by "that much"!!! LOL
Can't wait to hear the rationale they give
They will announce charging several million dollars for "restructure"
Me thinks that Wall Street has figured out what Hurd's rifs at HP accomplished (an unmitigated disaster) and may not view it positively, which is of course why oracle is trying to hide it. Plus Ellison may not have it in him (such a sensitive ego according to his Salesforce friend) to actually admit to doing so poorly that he has to resort to layoffs
How about all those cloud machines they're selling? I want to hear about that!
sorry to disappoint you but no RIF announcements tomorrow
All of you are wrong! Wall Street loves RIFs. They won't announce where but it actually can help the stock if the earnings were underperforming. It depends but my experience is Wall Street appreciates a company that cuts like tht.
You do appreciate that Wall Street analysts are reading this too, so whether oracle announces it or not, the cat is out of the bag
I have to agree with ilnj, they aren't going to announce a RIF!! That said, I do work at Oracle and something's coming, there's some truth in all these rumors...I predict a big reorg in Systems with RIF's....that said I would not be surprised if they try to do it in an "under the radar"...slow cuts weekly or something... I'm basically preparing myself - updating resume, starting to look around and network. I try to console myself with the fact that IBM would have killed us much sooner if they'd bought Sun. I know this was probably inevitable but for those of us who came from Sun it hurts to see our products die.
they won't announce rif tomorrow, are you crazy
Cancelled projects and 50% RIF, ORCL stock price will drop $8, analysts will revised down
numbers for next year, downgrade to hold, you figure the rest...
increasing revenues for cloud and decreasing revenues for hw. duh..
