Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Quite a lot of small companies in san Diego

I Was really upset with the way my management was treating me. I always work in the lab but the folks who get recognition are the ones who steal my data and present it to the management. So I started looking around. There are quite a few companies for hw folks in san Diego. No need to be stuck here. I will be out of qualcomm soon.

I have left QC as a result of horrible management, worked for myself, and gladly returned to work at QC for someone that I knew, and trusted. More than two years have gone by, and I still trust and respect my management, who is always looking out for me, and the projects we work on. The fact is, there are good places, and bad places to work in QC. Finding out which is which, is every individuals right and responsibility.

@1spw: That is true, however, I don't know of any sane and skillful engineer who would love to go back to Qualcomm once left. Maybe at the management level (Director and above) would be a different story.

be sure to look before you leap.

Things might be different now. But, 10 years ago, once you left Qualcomm. Your only option was to leave San Diego...other employers are tired of people going back to Qualcomm after they trained them.

Just sayin.
