Ahhh the 80s. My fondest memories. That is when an engineer, from Honeywell(1986), taught me C and Ada (programming languages) (I was 12 years old). From then on (after graduating with a Bachelors in Computer Science), I was on a "I'd rather be coding" cloud for a long long time. That is why, today, I could care less about corporate morons. I guess, everyone needs a paycheck, right? Some of us write the code that goes on the airplane and some of us keep track of me with a spreadsheet and report up to next useless doosh. Can't wait for my severance. It's like winning the lottery.

The last post is correct on all points. There were quite a few people here in the 1980's that were highly intelligent. These people no longer exist at Honeywell. We do seem to have a lot of arrogant idiots here that fancy themselves as "smart" but are unable to spell a 3 letter word correctly. Then again, maybe they think they are just too important to take the time to actually read the crap they post and send out in e-mails. I guess reading and writing skills are not required anymore in order to get a 4 year degree.

The sharp and brilliant brains generally left the company some time ago. The remaining above average are volunteering for RIF and sending out resumes. Those that will find jobs are the ones who pay attention to automatic spell-check. The ones who ignore it will soon be buying groceries with their EBT card. Those who fancy themselves as brilliant but poor spellers, are only kidding themselves. The term is "illiterate", and schools crank this type out by the truck-load.

Hi arrogant OP. There is no aircraft, battle ship or missile come out from perfect grammar. They come out from sharp and brilliant brains.

So what is the value of this post? Most on here are aero type folks and really don't care about grammar or spelling. We work with acronyms all day long and people that's had their brain s---ed out, those are supervisors and managers.

Glad you got to vent now can we get back to rumors and known events?

Merry Christmas

You don't start a sentence with "And" either.

No kidding. Where do these people come from? I mean, did they get a trophy just for participating? HELLO!!!!!!!! You start a sentence with a capital letter. You put a period at the end and not in the middle. And you spell correctly. Don't be proud of your ignorance.

Haha I totally get it! And I'm on the same page- literacy goes a long way-- the amount of smart people with bad grammar and spelling is appalling-
