Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Low mac, shampoo, stuffin, & baby gap boy know better.

There are quite a few mistakes that businesses--large and small--regularly make. I'm talking about the kinds of oversights that are truly detrimental to the company's success. So, what are those mistakes?

  1. Ignore customer feedback

  2. Disregard ideas from the front lines.

  3. Hold meetings--lots of them.

  4. Make your employees work as many hours as possible.

  5. Establish a clear hierarchy of who’s in charge.

Some companies like to make sure every employee memorizes and understands the company organization chart. People higher up are even given physical symbols of their place in the company to make it clear who should be respected.

  1. Forget marketing, because you don’t need It.

(Vz thinks this is all they need. Aka. Propoganda. Aka. Puffery.

As long as elite, million dollar people run the company, they will never listen to the mules - you have no value other than to do as told for their agenda. It's sad how toxic VZ is now ...nothing will change until the sleezy lyin' executives are removed and that aint happening no time soon. Dont think for once HR is there if you have issues with management, they are aligned with the mess. You're left dealing with the crap or finding a new, better gig. Happiness Matters!!

Whew - number 4. Lay off a bunch of people and then work the others in continual crisis mode plus every release and holiday with no regard for sleep or family obligations because there aren't enough people and act like it's just business. So happy to have my spouse back. Good luck to everyone.

When you back yourself into a corner its hard to focus on things such as these. The business becomes a massive juggling act. Cheating, falsifying, and dishonesty replace the truth.

Almost always the only solution is to clean house at the top, ask for time and forgiveness from investors, and create a battle plan and execute the plan.

Until that happens a company becomes stuck in a loop of alienating its employees and customers in a misguided effort to produce numbers in the artificial hope of pulling out of the mess that the leadership created.

Hence the reason for golden parachute clauses they have written on their day one at the business.

Its not rocket science, and neither is doing the right thing.

A no confidence vote is a good place to start.
