45k for what? If you have a Bachelor grade than it is ok. If you have a master than it is in the midrange only. The traditional grades with higher reputation are no more offered due to unification. The desease of Americanization......
Starting salary in Nuremberg is 45k+, so you should expect quite a bit more in Munich.
Not sure about Munich but UK Swindon site is about £26k
