I don't have a degree, or know anything about business, nor am I technical... but I seriously think I could have done better because I at least have a logical brain. I've made WAY better decisions than he has. shakes my head
Have no fear the 10nm ramp will expose intel and there will be share holder revolt as the stock drops below 20 and big ACTs of change happen!
The board members have been in place for years, with Bryant at the lead. Not one of them is willing to raise how bad Intel's prospects are and "pee in the punch bowl" as the expression goes. Better to enjoy a nice director's lunch and dinner, collect a nice pile of stock year after year, and not rock the boat.
Grove cared about the company and would have seen the cliff coming, but even then the company is addicted to x86 profits and monopoly power. It's the Innovator Dilemma we saw in other companies and the trap that Intel is hopelessly caught in now.
I agree completely that the Intel Board is the worst possible group to direct a company like Intel -- professors, vulture capital, a former ambassador and some attorneys... Really. That is the best BOD members Intel can put together. Now, since they are the top decision makers, how will Intel ever find its way out of the existing terrible mess that it is in now? Goodbye Intel.

Murphy's Law makes more sense that most of BK's decisions. BK's Law is BOD appointing an incompetent CEO to run a once great company that is falling apart as I write. The Intel BB people that remain know this to be the truth.
It was mentioned earlier BKed, the term is used to refer to absolutely stupid behavior and decisions that in closer examination a smarter person would do differently!
@epa/@ufd let's see if you feel that way next year or the year after when they fire you with a lesser pkg for getting a single undeserved SSL4. If you cannot see that the ISP criteria was totally bogus and the way the stock levels are being awarded is totally contrary to meritocracy, then you are truly blind.

@epa is a BK shill, typical of some brown-nosing morons still at Intel (vs a number of high quality people who were ISP'd unceremoniously). Before you accuse me of being an angry, bitter, disgruntled ex-employee let me tell you I had a distinguished design engineering career at Intel with multiple promos, DRAs, EEs, etc. I quit with a VSP because I couldn't stand any more of BK's stupidity, abismal decisions and the way he was treating fellow employees. Life is short and I can spend my time in better places (I'm still in my 30s BTW, before you call me old fart).
