ATT is going to take the DirecTV content and stream it all. No more physical dish, unless you need it due to no broadpand pipe to your physical location. Details being hammered out with contents providers.

Im sure VZ will stream content also, 15 years later. Smh.

I don't know anything about stocks but don't invest in Verizon . If they treat their employees is any sign of what's to come , stay away. As previously mention vz does not know what they are doing purchasing all these advertising companies , mean while att has made 2 great purchases . DirecTV which gives att a nationwide tv distribution amd time warner which gives them hbo and other major networks. Smart ,over similar to Comcast/NBC

My investments are mostly in telecoms not named Verizon. Every time we mess up their stocks go up. Seriously look at the trends just in the past 12 months and if you want to do more research look at the 3 & 5 year trends. Mucho dinero to be made

Dividends are good but that may change. These jokers are clueless, decisions made are proving to be costly. The sad thing is, company match is Verizon stock.

The whole point of their purchases was to stop being a dumb pipe and fill it with content. Instead they purchased two companies for advertising revenue (Yahoo and AOL) and one you never heard of (Awesome TV) while AT&T is making a huge coup to get quality content. This is after giving Vodafone $150B to buy their share of wireless just as it's on the precipice of coming down from the boom. Real smart move.

S&P up 2%. Verizon up only .25%. Sorry Lowell. Should have sold your 1.5 million shares worth $71 million and invested in any other carrier. Costing you a bundle. Wall Street isn't happy with Verizon leadership.

Don't buy anything from either and you'll be the best.
