I'm hearing RIF maybe pushed into Q1 to save vacation payouts and after the 26 week sev. goes to 13 wks
@1cyx, I hope you're wrong; that seems too early to have the RIF... it would be appreciated if I could nab a few more paychecks out of this place first before I get sent out of here.
I'm hearing the RIF is next week, the 14th then the furlough is Dec 5th.

I believe there will be a furlough, just a matter of prior to the end of the year or in Jan? They are just struggling with the fact of doing one in Dec may hurt in trying to make year end numbers getting product out the door. Salaried people may not touch the product, but the support that they provide can hold up production and getting things out the door. I think they have realized that with the past furloughs. Jan is typically slow when we first get back from the holidays anyways. Usually the RIF is done right before a furlough, if one is planned prior to year end, then an announcement should come before the Thanksgiving holiday.
