When re-applying they will ask if you received a severance to determine if you are eligible to be re-hired. You are not eligible after serving the bank in many more ways than what is being discussed.

As below states=your severance begins if you are fortunate enough to get a severance package.

More Play on Handbook words and logic or not logic.

It depends on whether you are given a working or non-working notice. If you are given a non-working notification, it is like the company is giving you 2 weeks notice during which time the company will pay you for 2 weeks but your access is typically revoked within a few hours and you are not required to actually work. It's like getting an extra 2 weeks of severance. After the 2 week notice period, your severance begins if you are fortunate enough to get a severance package.

Document execution gives no notice. They show up at your desk ask you to gather your personal effects walk you to an office give you an envelope, say they are so sorry and thank you for your service and walk you out / wham bam - seems the good ones are singled out. Kiss a-- you keep your job until this department is liquidated within the next 12 - 24 months

You could be given notice today (notification date ) that your last day at work will be Nov 30th (last date) same as you giving 2 weeks notice and you can work.
