Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I Quit Today

So after being laid off a job recently i decided to give this sh-- company and shot. 2 months down the line, all the promises made to me during my interview of flexibility and WFH were taken away in just a few short weeks. Little by little, i started to see just how horribly this company treats its employees. High expectations with huge workloads, with little benefits and even less appreciation. After two months of watching coworkers around me suffer from the stress of dealing with insurmountable burdens of making projects on time and kissing a-- to so many clients at the cost of peoples lives, i said enough is enough. I feel bad for those of you who do not have the opportunity to do what i did yesterday and send that awesome email to my boss telling them to fly a kite. ADIOS Honeywell and good luck to those who stay.

Yep, you are spot on. Daves' first order of business after the merger was what he called a "culture change". This change was remove all legacy Honeywell managers because most of them treated people like human beings and replaced them with the cesspool we have now.

I said many, many years ago that I would never apply for a job at Honeywell because they were known for their lay-offs. I worked for another company that was bought by Honeywell but even after that happened it wasn't so bad. But after Honeywell and Allied Signal merged it has become real bad. I have a friend who used to call it "Honey I Lied" before she got smart and left. I worked for a Director who had been an Allied Signal manager who once said that he had hoped that the company would take on more of the Honeywell management style but it didn't happen. So he left and went to Garmin. He was one of very few managers in my career with the company that was sorry to see go. He was an awesome boss. Unfortunately there are very few of those around. I've had the pleasure and honor of working for about 4 great Managers over the years. Before the merger Allied Signal had a terrible name with their vendors and customers. It is my understanding that is why they kept the Honeywell name but as we see that has been driven into the ground too.

Hmmm, disease filled poison, sounds like someone's still tweaked that their useless Cote clone of a candidate couldn't slither their way to victory.

Or maybe he can use Honeywell's awesome medical benefits plan for his anger management classes. Oh wait...

Need to shake off all lazy whiners!!! After you get the RIF you so richly deserve, try telling you next company how unfair Honeywell was for expecting you to come to work everyday. Ha Ha Ha We can still all work from home, but no more disappearing for months at a time. Few case are indeed unfair. Remember that BS you wrote on your resume? "Team Player", "Can do attitude", "hard working", "Dedicated"

Ive heard this rhetoric for years and years. You people will never leave, you hang on like ticks spreading your disease filled poison through the organization. Y'all are bitter clingers and i hope you all get RIFed.

I personally think that all WFH people should quit if they're too lazy to drive to the office like everyone else.

A very wise choice. As soon as I find something I'm leaving with zero notice. I'm going to treat it like a reverse RIF. I'm just going to get up and tell my manager I'm leaving. Hand him my badge and laptop, and walk out. Fck you, honeyhell and Fck you even more Dave cote! Fcking scumbag jerk off.

I've always told people in Honeywell that it's WAY different everywhere else. I think so many have been here for SO LONG, that they don't believe me or have completely forgotten. It's really sad.
