Sales guys don't get fired. We redirect engineering resources to low cost regions since apparently anyone from 3rd/4th world countries can do the same job, just as good.

We use to have world class engineers. Now we have little babies that complain on this site instead of taking control of their careers.

Hahaha a sales guy complaining about the work of thousands of engineers working in a chip set....poor "sales guy". Once he is fired they can hire sales guys even from Walmart...good luck with your poor career.

Actually, us non-engineer, business side people have to clean up the mess you stupid a-- engineers make. Have to figure out how to sell the crap you keep pumping out. Qcom needs my group because of incompetent engineering teams. Have some pride.

Business side director level = useless, not contributor, paper pusher, status collector....probably with bunch of buddies who help him to get that time so he can rest and vest....

That doesn't work. I am pretty valuable, if I left no one else really knows enough to take over in reasonable amount of time. I still get hosed at review time because, you guessed it, not sharing enough with others. No way to win, unless you've already made director and are sitting pretty.

Non-engineer. I'm on business side, director level. People that complain on this site are a bunch of babies. Take control of your career and make yourself valuable. DONT CROSS TRAIN!! Keep all the valuable information and skills you have learned/developed to yourself.

Negotiated a 40% of salary rentention bonus for the next 3 years. I get 40% of salary paid out once a year. If I leave before 3 years I have to pay back what I have already been paid, prorated. This is on top of the regular review cycle bonus/rsu. I have multiple job offers.
