Yup, there is zero recognition of the employee as a stakeholder at Cisco. There are many examples of sucessful companies that demonstrate great success working with all stakeholders when good leadership is in place. A technology company cannot be successful for very long by only managing finance spreadsheets and working to avoid employment lawsuits. When is the Cisco elt going to provide leadership that is more than recent MBA grads and recent law grads could do with a decent laptop and the student edition of the Microsoft software package?

So its true. Low levels of LRs have been taking place over the last 4 weeks. Groups of 8-10 here and there. Sales, Marketing, more Directors. All to be considered Q2 layoffs. Of those I know, 100% of them were very successful and have been good producing sellers for many years. No loyalty to cross train to new teams. just a way to cut costs.

Interesting fact: I worked for Oracle 15 years ago. 100% of my leadership team and management are still there. I have worked for Cisco for 13 years. 99% of my entire leadership team...up and down the chain have been axed. What does that tell you?

This appears to be a new tradition. Annual grand layoff will be done in the month of October. Plus multiple very small annual holiday layoffs each quarter. e.g. Labor day layoff,Memorial day layoff, Thanksgiving layoff, Christmas layoff & New year layoff.

Strategy: If it is too hard to sell ! lot of work? numbers are not matched? Do the holiday layoffs & match the number.Make the Wall Street happy, who cares about employees anyway.
