Oracle is like a rocket taking off. Gravity is increasing and they are running out of fuel. Can they get into orbit before they run out of fuel or will they crash and burn? By laying off employees, they are tossing weight off the rocket, but if they don't get the cloud products to where they need to be and start selling them, then they will run out of fuel. It's an ugly scenario to be in but it's the bed they've made. There are many to blame. It's not one person at the company. MH can't run a company to save his life. He is destroying the culture at Oracle and TK can't get any decent cloud product developed that can compete with SalesForce, Workday, Amazon, Google, or Microsoft. LE should fire MH and TK and put some competent management in place. SC is pretty good but she doesn't really care about low level employees either. She would say "let them eat cake."
